Contest Postponed
We regret that, due to lack of adequate response, we must temporarily postpone our Daily Bread contest. For whatever reason, we simply haven't received enough submissions to make this project viable at this time. So, those of you who submitted stories, we'll refund your entry fee. But we hope you'll hold onto those great tales of workplace humor, because we still plan to run this contest again in the not-too-distant future. We still believe people have amazing stories to tell, and that the world still wants to hear them. Please check back with us from time to time––and tell your friends about us. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we haven't given up yet––hey, we all still need a good laugh, perhaps now more than ever. Thanks to those of you who did respond, and keep smiling!

Hi Skye! You KNOW I was all for it, and ready to submit! (hey, I made a poem!) :o
ReplyDeleteLet me know when you're ready to try again, and I'll call out all my writer/blog buddies and we'll get the word out!! Please keep me posted!
Was just about to submit two stories. Poop! Would love to submit in the future. Thanks, Amanda
ReplyDeleteI just finished editing a story to submit. Please add me to any mailing list and let me know when you decide to hold the contest. This gives me a chance to write a couple of additional stories to submit. Thanks! Lisa W. Sterling (lisawsterling@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteYou might want to reconsider. I just posted your call for submissions today in my blog and was going to post it in my newsletter. Keep in mind that most people submit at the last minute. After having served as a judge on many contests and having operated one for eight years, I've learned that you never know until the end how the turnout will be. People always mark the deadline on their calendar, but the week or two before. Good luck with this.
